- Launch the NS/Administrator
- Pull down the TOOLS menu and select Diagnostics
- Double-click on the 3270 Router
- Assign a unique filename to the Trace and
Dump Titles
- Pull down the DIAGNOSTICS menu and Start
Trace
- Keeping the NS/Elite Diagnostics window
open, go to the NS/Administrator and double-click on 3270 Display
to establish a session
- Run through your session and at the point
of failure, go to the Diagnostics window, pull down the DIAGNOSTICS
menu and Stop Trace then pull down the DIAGNOSTICS menu again
and select Status Dump
- Go to the NS/Administrator, pull down the
TOOLS menu and select Diagnostics Viewer
- Double-click on the Dump folder then click
on the Dump file to open it
- Pull down the FILE menu and select Export
As Binary. Assign a unique filename (ie. .DMP) then click
on Save
- Double-click on the Trace folder then click
on the Trace file to open it
- Pull down the FILE menu and select Export
As ASCII. Assign a unique filename (ie. .LTR) then click
on Save
- Go back to the NS/Administrator, pull down
the TOOLS menu and select Event Log Viewer. Pull down the FILE
menu, select Save As and assign a unique filename .EVT.
(This file can be found in the \NETSOFT\ELITE\DATA directory).
- Zip the files into .ZIP then upload
