What is Relay/Transfer for MVS/VTAM?
Relay/Transfer MVS/VTAM provides file transfer capability using
the RELAY protocol with personal computers which run Relay/Gold
PC.
2) What is the currently support version?
Version 1.00 at zap level 12 plus zap999 and Version 1.1.
3) Is this product year 2000 compliant?
Zap 12 makes this product 2000 compatible and version 1.1 is year
2000 compatible. Version 1.00 will no longer by supported after
December 31, 1998.
4) Is this product supported on OS/390?
The product has been tested with OS/390 through version 2.5, however
there is no SMS parameter support n the current product.
5) How can I tell what zap level I have
on the product?
There is a zaplog in the RELAYM.DATALIB which has the number of
zaps applied when the product was shipped. If you cannot find a
zaplog, look at the object or load module for RELAYM and youll
see an eye-catcher ZAPS: F100M012F100M999.
6) I need a new codeword; where do I
find the information about my current product?
If you are a new user of the product, contact NetManage (Vienna)
with the Product Serial Number of your tape, your CPU model and
group number and the CPUID (CPU serial number). This can be obtained
by issuing a D M=CPU from the operator console. There is a ten-digit
number under the word SERIAL, for instance:
SERIAL 1207729672 CPUID is 120772; CPU model
is 9672.
Relay/Transfer uses the last 4 digits of the
serial number to generate a codeword. Zap 995 is required.

MVS/VTAM V1.00:
The Product Serial Number and the system
(or check) code are in the dataset called "RELAYM.DATALIB
in a member called PROFILE, for example:
INSTALL X104032 288 C470309
In this case the Product Serial Number is X104032
and the system or check code is 288.
